Fitting

To fit our Nova-Stove, hearth and Interior, try the following procedure.

This should only be carried out by a confident person experianced in all aspects of DIY and in the case of the actual fitting of the stove, by a "Hetas" registered engineer. You can do this yourself but you will still have to inform the local building control officer, and he will (or should) send a person to inspect your installation, but he will charge for this.

1) If you have a Gas fire or pipe ask a "Gas Safe Engineer" to remove the gas pipes / appliance etc.

2) Remove your old fireplace and all of the interior masonry, back to the original builders opening.

3) At this stage you may take the dimensions of the interior masonry hole that will give you the dimensions of your hearth & interior box.

4) You will now able to order your Stove, Hearth & interior direct from the factory. We can e-mail you an order form that is easy to follow.

After delivery of your hearth & interior box and Stove.

A) fit the hearth on a thin bed of mortar ensuring level

B) push the interior box in to hole and fix to wall using side brackets and ensuring the outside edges are sealed to the wall.

C) Remove the "Stovemate" (4 Brass Dome screws)

D) Backfill behind the box interior on 3 sides and top.

E) Apply Flaunch mix to provide slope over top of box to chimney (if no flue liner is being used).
